Conway Speedway?s SuperMoto course is designed to be the future under-the-lights Saturday night ?Showtime? track for the Low Country. Where fans can enjoy a fun and exciting night at the races and racers can compete for SuperMoto Gold and Glory. During Bike Week a special Sunday afternoon debut event will be held beginning at 2PM.

All races start and finish on the front straight of Conway?s fast semi-banked clay oval short track where riders must negotiate three left hand turns each lap ? then they take a switchback on to the asphalt section utilizing 2/3 of this oval while making three hot right hand turns in the process ? back on to dirt now for the mild but tricky MX section that features a low flat top jump, a 180 degree bermed left-hander to the very small ?Mini Me? jump, then a few whoops just before transitioning back on to the dirt oval to start their next lap.

Because of the unique configuration of Conway Speedway?s SuperMoto track tire selection will eventually become critical. For the debut event on May 22nd ?run what ya brung.? From knobbies to slicks and everything in between are welcome. Just come on out and give our SuperMoto a run for the money! You could be the first Conway Champion and receive national media exposure!

?The Dirt Track at the Beach? Announces 2005 Myrtle Beach Biker Rallies Racing Schedule

Conway Speedway will continue its growing tradition of presenting first class racing events in conjunction with Myrtle Beach Biker Rallies. The lightning fast clay/dirt banked short track oval is conveniently located in Conway, SC just five miles from the Myrtle Beach city limits.

At this years Spring Rally on Friday night May 20th Conway Speedway will host the 1st Annual Speedway Classic featuring top speedway motorcycle racers from throughout North America. Speedway motorcycles, as often seen on Speed Channel, are lightweight machines with very powerful methanol burning 500cc 4-stroke engines. They accelerate from 0-60 MPH in less than 3 seconds and are not allowed to have brakes! This is the first time Speedway will be seen in South Carolina. The event is sanctioned and is the official season opener of the NSRA. Racing begins at 7:30 pm.

On Saturday Night May 21st Conway Speedway hosts the 3rd Annual Myrtle Beach Spring Biker Rally Dirt Track Championships. Many of the East?s top pro-am Flat Track Motorcycle racers are expected to compete on their built to the maximum thunder bikes. They will be joining the list of past Conway Speedway standout contestants such as Virginia?s John Nickens, Georgia?s Bubba Seyle and Chase Sconyers, North Carolina?s Robert Lewis, Paul Normandine, Ronny Kemp and South Carolina?s Henry Perrit and Garth Brow to name of few. Also scheduled for this special weekend of racing is the debut event on Conway Speedway?s newly constructed Supermoto Track! Supermoto is

1 a combination of racing motorcycles on a dirt flat track, an asphalt road course section and a motocross section. Supermoto will be run Sunday May 22nd beginning at 2PM. Food, soft drinks, and ice cold Budweiser products will be on sale at the track all weekend.
