Malena also wants to remind all motorsports fans and families about the Fall Rally and Races to be held Saturday, October 27, 2001 at the Leesville 171 Speedway. The Speedway is located on Highway 171, just one mile north of the Ft. Polk entrance. Gates will open at 9:00 A.M. A bike show starts at 10:00 A.M. At 2:00 P.M. there will be Dirt Drag racing for street bikes, dirt bikes and quads. At 4:00 P.M., Motocross racing events start. At 7:00 P.M., Flat Track Racing revs up. The evening will end with a very special event called a "Slide for Five" in which basically stock rear wheel drive, full sized cars and station wagons will slip and slide as they race around a water-misted clay track. Should be something to see! General Admission is only $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids. Children under 5 get in free.
